Kate and Kazz are the strategist and creative behind Aubrey + Areegra. We bring over 35 years of combined experience creating advertising campaigns for multi-national brands in some of Australia’s leading advertising agencies.
We offer our clients the unique combination of agency experience, coupled with a true understanding of the lives of rural and regional Australians.
Kazz Inkster
Kazz is a creative soul with a passion for results driven advertising and farm life. She genuinely understands what goes on in the paddock and what it takes to run a farming business.
After growing up on her family farm at Aubrey, Karen headed to Melbourne where she spent over a decade honing her creative skills working as an art director at world-renowned agencies, including George Patterson Bates, Singelton Ogilvy & Mather and OgilvyOne.
During this time, Karen also completed a stint at Ogilvy in Stuttgart, Germany where she was exposed new perspectives and some of the world’s greatest advertising minds.
Throughout her career, Karen has developed complete advertising concepts and campaigns across many iconic Australian brands, such as Myer, AMMI, AFL, Cricket Australia, Merrill Lynch and Fosters.
When it came to family life, Karen followed her heart back to the Wimmera where she now lives and works on her own farm with her partner and children.
Today, life is a balance of both worlds. When she’s not busy at work in Aubrey + Areegra’s beautiful studio space, you’ll often find Karen working on a new concept while moving field bins, checking proofs between delivering lunch to the shearers, or chatting with a copywriter while feeding the chooks.
Kate Liersch
Kate is a strategic thinker with a natural ability to identify key elements that make a successful campaign – all while keeping a project on track.
Kate grew up with her family’s farm at Areegra. As an only child in a small community, Kate’s childhood came with lots of freedom to play and explore. She absolutely loved it - yet couldn’t wait to spread her wings and head to Melbourne to study.
While completing a degree in Multimedia and Business with a major in marketing, Kate was particularly drawn to all things marketing and consumer behaviour.
Kate then spent over ten years working at some of the biggest and most respected advertising agencies in the country, including Clemenger BBDO, Publicis Mojo and Ogilvy Designworks. During this time, she gained extensive experience as an account manager developing and implementing campaigns for high-profile brands, from Mars Australia and Nestle Peters to Dulux, just to name a few.
Her love for the regional lifestyle equally matches Kate’s passion for great brand communications. It’s why, when it came time to raise a family of her own, she was drawn back to rural life.
Aubrey + Areegra allows Kate to continue developing her skills and knowledge across advertising campaigns while living in the beautiful Wimmera Mallee. For Kate, there is nothing better than helping businesses authentically connect with regional Australians.
