Warracknabeal Secondary College
A new visual identity for our local school
It’s not often you get the opportunity to rebrand your former high school! What a treat it was meeting with current staff and students to learn about the culture and unique learning opportunities available to students at Warracknabeal Secondary College.
The new visual identity we developed for the school was created in collaboration with students, staff and wider school community to reflect the modern learning programs and individual pathways offered to all students. We identified a key strength of Warracknabeal Secondary College is the students and how individual they all are. The new branding reflects these differences, through shape and colour, all different, yet coming together to make an interesting and beautiful design.
We could have done a nice crest and swooshing shapes, like other schools, in different colours. But we didn’t. It was back to basics in shape and colour and building patterns and design with those elements.
A cup of modernist art and a pinch of bauhaus for inspiration and ta dar, new, adaptable and evolving branding. The crest is still there, a nod to the schools history, but a whole new look as they move forward into their new learning space next year.
